YOUNG GREENKEEPER SESSION
At Continue To Learn

BIGGA's Young Greenkeeper Committee
A new session has been added to the Continue To Learn educational programme at BTME in Harrogate in January, targeted at young greenkeepers.

The Young Greenkeeper Committee (YGC) has been created to assist young greenkeepers with their career development. 'Introducing the YGC and how we can help you' is a new Career Development Session to be presented by the YGC.

The Committee, which is a first for BIGGA, is comprised of members aged under 32 from across BIGGA's Regions. As a group of young greenkeepers themselves they want to help young BIGGA members work together in ensuring they are recognising their potential as young turf professionals. They aim to create an awareness of the array of opportunities available to young greenkeepers and how these opportunities can boost your confidence and skills, which could one day help you land your dream job.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Meet the YGC and understand their objectives
  • Create awareness of Opportunities/Awards
  • Identify your own career path/goals
  • Network with other young greenkeepers

This Career Development Session takes place on Wednesday 20 January between 12 noon - 1pm.

To book visit here or contact Deb Burnett at BIGGA House at deb@bigga.co.uk or 01347 833830.
