TEAM GRIMME RIDES AGAIN
Charity bike ride to Germany

On the 1st September 2013, Team Grimme embarked on their first ever Charity Cycle Ride, cycling over 100 miles from their premises at Dunnington, York to their Headquarters in Swineshead, Boston. The whole team completed their task in less than 7 hours, the ride managing to raise in excess of £5,000 for local charities. 

This year on the 7th May, a new look Team Grimme 2015 ride again, as fifteen part time cyclists embark on a challenge generally reserved for professionals! Aiming to cycle approximately 275 miles in just two and a half days, the team are attempting to ride from their premises at Dunnington, York to Grimme’s factory in Damme, Germany.


Team Grimme 2013

Day one will consist of a short 48 mile ride to the ferry terminal at King George Dock, Hull where the team and their equipment will sail overnight to Rotterdam.

Day two will start bright and early, with the team needing to cover approximately 120 miles to arrive at their half-way stop over for a well-deserved night’s rest.

Day three will again begin early, seeing the team cover the final 120 or so miles, aiming to arrive at Grimme Damme sometime in the early evening.

Team Grimme 2015 is a fully International team with members from Grimme UK, Grimme Damme & Grimme Skandinavia. The fifteen team members are: Peter Mason (UK), Glyn Argent (UK), Dan Taylor (UK), Russell Button (UK), Chris Shipley (UK), Barry Baker (UK), Peter Stocks (UK), Neil Jackson (UK), Heine Hylleberg (SK), Per Rasmussen (SK), Henrik Pedersen (SK), Soren Lund Madsen (SK), Morton Mikkelsen (SK), Dirk-Jan Staple & Marcel Stubbe (Damme). Support Team Mark Addinall & Stuart Smith (UK).

Their goal is to raise £15,000 for their chosen charity, Children with Cancer UK.
