VIKING lawn tractors are characterised by driving pleasure, excellent performance and advanced design, and now two new side-discharge models add more choice to the range.

Particularly suited to larger lawned areas and taller grass, the new VIKING side-discharge lawn tractors are quick, easy and efficient in use. Distributing grass clippings directly and evenly over the lawn, they just keep on mowing until the job's done. The side-discharge function not only saves time, as clippings decompose their natural nutrients are returned to the soil.

Powerful and quick
The new lawn tractors simply thrive on larger lawn areas - perfect for up to 8,000 m2 (almost two acres of lawn). The two models offer a choice of 95 cm (model MT 4097 SX) or 110 cm (MT 4112 S) cutting width; with their powerful performance they will sweep down the straights, and with their tight 70 cm turning circle they'll nip nimbly around bends.

Power is provided by robust, enduring and smooth-running Briggs & Stratton engines; the lawn tractors are known for their speedy performance and high quality cut.

Nice and easy to drive
VIKING lawn tractors are also recognised for their innovative design, sophisticated technology and simple pleasure in use. And the new side-discharge models are no exception. From the moment they sit on the comfortable seat any driver will feel at home with the controls. After all, those controls are based on the logic of an automatic car. Take the forward and reverse drive switching for example - exclusively developed by the VIKING design team. Intuitively you simply push the control lever 'forward' or pull it back to reverse; even the foot pedals follow car logic with the accelerator on the right and brake on the left. VIKING has even given drivers a sporty steering wheel and all controls are set ergonomically in reach.

Efficient mowing performance
The spring-loaded cutting height adjustment sets through seven stages between 35 and 90 mm and is easily operated from the driver's seat. When the blade unit is not in use, for example when driving from the garage to the lawn, the electromagnetic blade clutch stops mowing operation safely and conveniently at the push of a button.

Making the most of the tractor
The sturdy, resilient frame construction of the new VIKING lawn tractors is ideally suited to the attachment of accessories available, including a snow plough that attaches to the front of the machine and extends its versatility for 'season-round' use. Each model comes with a trailer coupling as standard, so owners can really make the most of their tractor and hitch up the tilting trailer accessory for example, or the garden roller. They can also turn the side-discharge tractors into efficient mulching machines, with the mulching kits available shredding grass clippings more finely for faster decomposition into the soil.
