Head Gardener at Waddesdon Manor, Paul Farnell, and the rest of his team have welcomed their newest team member the robotic VIKING iMow.

Paul, Head Gardener for nearly 20 years, was there to watch the iMow being installed at the Manor's renowned Aviary where it will quickly and quietly trim the 250m² lawns that are admired by the Manor's 365,000 visitors each year.
Waddesdon Manor has agreed to trial the iMow at the prominent National Trust gardens as they move into the battery-powered garden tool space.

Paul says, "Robotic mowers are definitely the future. We have a 15 man team here at Waddesdon Manor that are kept extremely busy with the 165acre garden and park, so any extra help is most welcomed. We're looking forward to seeing how the iMow gets on - it will certainly save us a good couple of hours of mowing each week."
The team at VIKING and local dealership, Briants, were happy to install the iMow at Waddesdon so the mower could start preparing the lawns for the busy months ahead including the popular Christmas season (starting from 11 November), which will see this area of the garden transformed into an immersive piece of light art by Artist Bruce Munro in the final year of his residency at Waddesdon. The VIKING team were also pleased to offer Waddesdonsome further STIHL products to add to Paul's fleet.
