GARDEN MACHINERY BUSINESS FOR SALE
New Forest area

Due to genuine retirement plans the opportunuity to purchase a garden machinery business which benefits from two highly skilled members of staff, has arisen.

The company is long established in the New Forest area offering both new machinery sales and service for garden machinery and chainsaws.

There is a very loyal customer base and the company has always prided itself in its levels of quality service and consideration to its customers.

The premises which are leased (since 1988) are in a popular village and include a well laid out showroom, exceptionally well equipped workshop and a large covered yard for storing machines.

The company are a main or sub-dealer for a number of leading makes of garden machinery and chainsaws.

They choose not sell low quality products or accept them for service/repair.

Most of the customer base is within a 10 mile radius and there is plenty of scope to increase business. During at least the past 6 years most new custom came by word-of-mouth, proven by the fact that the average advertising spend was only £677.00 per year.

The remaining technician, who is highly skilled, joined the company in January 1981 as a trainee. In addition to constant training on the job, he has attended many service courses and has 36 certificates to his credit. In addition, he became a Briggs & Stratton "Master Service Technician" in 2006.

The other member of staff, who joined as a trainee in 1984, has become highly experienced and respected, and is responsible for accounts, sales, reception and parts.

This is an ideal opportunity for a person with technical experience and drive, or equally, a company wishing to expand into an affluent area.

The present owner would be prepared to remain as a consultant to any successor business for a short period to maximise customer retention.

The sale is being handled by accountant  Alan Williams
