FARM ENERGY SHOW CANCELLED
Organisers remain convinced that strong interest remains

Farm energy

The Farm Energy Event 2012, planned to take place on Tuesday 4th December at the Newark Showground has been cancelled.

Uncertainty of future government support for alternative energy schemes has led to a poor response from potential exhibitors. Many are seeking more clarity before committing to marketing ventures, says Andrew Newbold of event organiser FarmSmart.

However, while the event will not go ahead in 2012, FarmSmart remains convinced that this is an area of strong interest amongst farmers.

“We will continue to liaise closely with existing and potential exhibitors with a view to organising an event during the autumn of 2013. With energy costs continuing to rise, there is no doubt that this will remain an important topic for many farm businesses who are often well-suited to local generation from renewable sources,” said Mr Newbold.
