CUSHMAN COVERS CATTLE COUNTRY
Supplied by TH Whites

A Cushman 1600XD-R utility vehicle has been delivered to the Cattle Country Adventure Park at Berkeley in Gloucestershire by local dealer, TH White Ltd

George Knights, one of the support workers at Cattle Country with the Cushman 1600XD-R

The road homologated four-wheel drive vehicle is being used for a multitude of tasks around the 30 acre leisure complex.

The Adventure Park has been operating for 18 years; Founding Director Tony Cullimore diversified the 80 year-old family farming business and opened a small scale venture, which he called The Cattle and Countryside Centre. It has since grown from a field with a few swings to one of the best visitor attractions in the area.

Mark Clothier is the Maintenance Manager at the park and was one of the principal decision makers for the purchase of the utility vehicle. Commenting on the reasons for selecting the 1600XD-R he said, "We had three of the major brands out here to test and the Cushman won the day for a number of reasons. We felt the build quality is much better than its rival; it is more robust, wider and can take a standard pallet in the back, which is a great advantage when loading. It is more stable, has superior ground clearance - an important factor here, the suspension seat for the driver gives a comfortable ride and it has a proper, decent tow bar.

"Surprisingly, it goes anywhere in two-wheel drive and we're getting 25 hours out of a tank of fuel. It could probably do with rear mud flaps and power steering would be an advantage, but generally it's a good little vehicle and we're very pleased with our buying decision."
