B&S COMPLETES ACQUISITION
Of Brazilian company

B&S have acquired Brazillian company, Branco

Briggs & Stratton Corp. said this week that its previously announced acquisition of a Brazilian company has closed.

Briggs paid $57 million in cash for the stock of Companhia Caetano Branco, adjusted for certain liabilities.

Branco, founded in 1936, makes outdoor power equipment used primarily in light commercial applications in Brazil and employs about 150 workers there.

Briggs said it financed the transaction from cash on hand. The acquisition is not expected to have a significant impact on sales or earnings in fiscal 2013, the company said.

Branco has annual sales of about $40 million
