STIHL UNVEIL NEW SAW TODAY
At Arb Show, Bathurst Estate, Cirencester

Marking its tenth year as main sponsor of the popular ARB Show, STIHL is demonstrating how its technology has advanced with its latest specialist chainsaw at the event this year.

Cordless MSA 160 T top-handled chainsaw

On their stand they will be showing the new cordless MSA 160 T top-handled chainsaw which allows arborists to work quietly and efficiently up in the trees.

"Noise is inevitably a challenge for anyone using power tools in a public space, to the point that some have to work out of normal working hours", says Vince Brauns, Product Manager at STIHL GB. "That's one of the primary reasons professionals seek out our cordless tools, but once they have tried them they realise they're not only quiet but hard-working too.

"Our new top-handled chainsaw is no exception. Perfect for pruning branches, crown thinning and remedial tree work, its role is very much that of our lightweight MS 150 TC-E chainsaw - the new petrol model launched last year and which has received great feedback."

The difference with the cordless model of course, is its low noise. So low in fact, that arborists may not need to wear ear defenders when they use it: "That means operators can communicate more easily with their ground crew, and they won't be so restricted when working in noise sensitive environments like public parks, hospital or school grounds", says Vince.

Proving the quality of the cordless performance, the new model will be (quietly) demonstrated by the respected Treevolution training team at The ARB Show this year. Treevolution have been giving the new model a thorough work-out in advance of the Show and will give visitors their feedback and answer questions on each day.

The ARB Show represents a great day out for anyone working or with an interest in the arb sector.  In addition to the many trade stands, including a number of STIHL Approved Dealers offering its power tools and PPE, visitors can update their knowledge and skills through practical demonstrations and in the STIHL-sponsored Contractors' Workshop sessions taking place each day.  Visitors can also be in with a chance of winning the new MSA 160 T top-handled* cordless chainsaw, plus battery and charger, in the Official ARB Show Prize Draw, simply by registering their details at the entrance to the Show.
