25 YEARS AT CHARTERHOUSE
Another employee notches up a quarter century

Hot on the heels of Nick Darking clocking up 25 years at Charterhouse Turf Machinery comes Technical Manager Tim Franklyn.

L to R: Nick Darking, Tim Franklyn and Director of Charterhouse, Geoff Burgess

Tim first joined Charterhouse as Workshop Manager in March 1991 where his duties included painting the fabricated parts and constructing the finished units. Now as Technical Manager he is often described as the 'quiet man' of Charterhouse where his vast product knowledge and professional, meticulous, working attitude means Tim has become the 'go-to' man.

He plays a key part in customer and dealer support, delivering knowledge and training to the expansive dealer network. He was also fundamental in the recent Charterhouse 'Interaction Days, where grounds professionals were treated to educational lectures and product demonstrations at a range of locations in England.

To celebrate this milestone the company presented Tim with 2 tickets to the 3 day Goodwood Revival, an obvious choice for Tim as he's a petrol-head in his spare time.

Having recently celebrated his own 25 years with Charterhouse, Sales Manager Nick Darking said, "It's like they say that behind every good man there's a good woman - well behind every good salesman there's an even better engineer! I have been delighted to share the ups and downs of the last 25 years with such a dedicated colleague and I have no doubt that he will be the first one in and the last one out of the gates every day at Goodwood, just as he is on a working day at Charterhouse."
