RE-LEAF DAY SUPPORTED BY ROLAWN
Green theme for fundraising

Rolawn recently raised £313.76 for Greenfingers Charity to help the organisation continue its work creating inspiring and magical gardens for children in hospices, and their families, to enjoy.

The charity’s annual ‘Garden Re-leaf Day’ took place this year on 27th March and encourages companies nationwide to take part in various fundraising activities which this year involved cake bakes, quizzes and even ‘boss soaking’!

The Rolawn team

Rolawn’s activities saw staff arrive for work dressed in green as well as organising the sale of some glorious green cupcakes and launching the Big Rolawn Grow Challenge competition. This competition sees competitors sowing sunflowers and/or pumpkin seeds and the one that grows the tallest/biggest, wins.

To round things off, the company discounted online orders by 5% on Re-leaf Day and donated this percentage to the charity.

Rolawn’s Sales and Marketing Director, Jonathan Hill said, "Coming to work dressed as The Riddler was different - I was a bit worried that the car might breakdown en route! Everyone at Rolawn threw themselves into the day and we had a terrific time.

"We are all committed to supporting this inspirational charity and knowing that our efforts have contributed to helping Greenfingers raise money to fund more of the magical gardens it creates is fantastic. Furthermore, the Grow Challenge will keep awareness at the top of the agenda as staff try to outdo each other in their green gardening efforts.”

Over £50k has been raised so far from this year’s Garden Re-leaf day and the charity hopes to be working with hospices in Sheffield, Kent, the Isle of Wight and Oxford throughout 2015.
