CADET WINS AT SALPERTON
Mower tested at Horse Trials

The Cub Cadet RZTS46 at Salperton

E.P. Barrus Ltd have been following up with Richard Taylor to find out how they are getting on with their sponsored Cub Cadet RZTS46 at Salperton.

This is the fourth year Richard and David Evans have built the course, but the first time they have used the RZTS46.

Arriving back from Luhmühlen Horse Trials in Germany they found the grass around the 21 jumps along the course had grown to mid-calf height. The RZT was set to the task of clearing these areas, giving Richard plenty of time to assess their new machine.

Richard said he liked the choice of collection options. “The side discharge is efficient, throwing clippings well away without leaving unsightly rows of dry grass. When the grass is shorter, the mulch plug is the better choice as no cuttings remain at all”.

He also praised the PTO deck engagement system, which makes light work of lifting and lowering the cutting deck.

He said the team also enjoys the machine. “The power is impressive – it’s very nippy! The steering wheel is user friendly, and the Synchro Steer technology helps the machine react to all kinds of terrain: steep verges around the water’s edge are no problem. Even where the ground is uneven, the floating cutting deck ensures all grass is cut without leaving scalped areas”.
