They are: -

  • Shaun Anderson, Head Greenkeeper, Piperdam Golf & Country Club
  • Graham Beatt, Course Manager, Royal Portrush Golf Club
  • James Bledge, Course Manager, Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club
  • Darren Burton, Head Greenkeeper, Lydd Golf Club
  • Simon Hart, Greenkeeper, JCB
  • Steve Lloyd, Course Manager, Worcestershire Golf Club
  • John McLoughlin, Course Manager, Warrington Golf Club
  • Simon Olver, Course Manager, Whitley Bay Golf Club
  • Simon Torr, Greenkeeper, Bearwood Lakes Golf Club
  • Jamie Wade, Senior Greenkeeper, The Belfry

BIGGA say all the applicants completed the application form before emerging successful from the second application stage, which consisted of interviews with representatives from the Association and Bernhard Grinders.

The ten will travel together to America for the GIS which will again be showcasing world first products, and as well as visiting the exhibition will represent BIGGA, Bernhards and their own golf clubs on the BIGGA booth. They will also attend some of the GIS’s educational seminars, presentations and workshops.

As well as this, they will have the opportunity to visit some outstanding golf courses in the area, meet Superintendents and have the chance to network with key international industry figures.
