TORO STARS AT CRICKET WORLD CUP
Mowers used across venues

Grounds crews in Australia and New Zealand at facilities hosting the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup have been using Toro equipment.

Cricket World Cup venues across Australia are using Toro's Greensmaster Flex walk mowers for the preparations of cricket pitches, Reelmaster mowers to maintain the outfields, and Workman MDX or HDX utility vehicles to transport equipment and materials around their facilities. Several stadiums also use ProCore aerators, Multi Pro sprayers and Toro irrigation systems in their turf care routine.

Various combinations of these machines are in use at the Gabba in Brisbane, Queensland; the Bellerive Oval in Bellerive, Tasmania; the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, South Australia; the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in Sydney, New South Wales; the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Ground in Perth, Western Australia; and, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, Victoria. The MCG, host of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup Final, is one of the largest sporting stadiums in the world with a capacity of 100,000 people.

“We are honored that these world-class stadiums have chosen Toro equipment to ready their fields for the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup,” said Paul Prout, national corporate accounts manager at The Toro Company. "Toro's leadership and experience continue to grow in the world of professional cricket, and this is a perfect example.”

The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup runs from February 14 to March 29 and will be hosted jointly by Australia and New Zealand. It's one of the world's largest international sports tournaments, with 14 competing teams, more than 400 accredited players and officials, and an expected television audience of more than a billion people.
