FREE SPORTS FACILITY SHOW
Takes place in London tomorrow

 
Sports Facility Show takes place tomorrow (March 10th) at Lee Valley Athletics Centre

SAPCA’s (Sport and Play Construction Association) Sports Facility Show takes place at Lee Valley Athletics Centre, London, tomorrow, Tuesday 10 March.

Supported by the IOG, this free event comprises a series of informative and educational seminars together with an exhibition featuring specialists in the design, construction and maintenance of sports facilities.

The event’s exhibition is open from 9.30am to 3.30pm and the seminar programme includes the following topics:

  • Successful Funding Applications: The Importance of Sustainability
  • The Design of Multi-Use Games Areas
  • The Viability of Synthetic Turf Pitches
  • Designing for Health and Wellbeing in the Education Sector
  • The Maintenance of Synthetic Sports Surfaces

  • Making the Most of Your Playing Field

  • The Transformation of the London 2012 Stadium into Legacy Use

  • How to Build, Protect and Enhance Sustainable Football Facilities

During the event the IOG will be offering turfcare management advice to visitors that include those concerned with the design, procurement, construction and maintenance of sports surfaces and associated works including: schools, universities, local authorities, voluntary sports clubs, sports and leisure centres, community projects, playing field managers, architects, specifiers, contractors and sports organisations.
