TGA SPRING CONFERENCE
Speakers announced

Turfgrass Growers Association

The Turfgrass Growers Association will be gathering near Peterborough next month for their spring conference.

The association says that growers have always recognised that when there is more housebuilding being completed they see more demand for their turf to finish off projects. On the 10th March Paul Bogle from National Federation of Builders will give a presentation to turf growers on perceptions of turf from the building industry and what the future holds for house building in the UK.

The spring conference, hosted by Scott Pallets, will also hear from DHL Transport on logistics in the turf industry as well as including a tour of the Scott Pallets production site at nearby Bury. TGA matters will also be covered as part of the day.

TGA Chief Executive Tim Mudge said, "We are always looking to invite speakers who will give us a different view of our industry as well as informing us about their own. The day promises to be interesting and varied. We know that TGA members find these events invaluable both in terms of content and also the ability to talk with other producers about issues surrounding turf growing. This year we would like to invite any non-members who would like to be involved to come as our guests. We hope that they will be impressed and want to join the TGA."

Rooms are available at the hotel and there is an informal meal the night before. If you would like to reserve a place at the event contact Janice Cook at the TGA office on 01507 607722 or email janice.cook@britishgrowers.org
