KOI CARP FOUND IN CARLISLE GOAL
Aftermath of the floods

Following the devastating flooding in the area, two days later when groundstaff began the clear up operation at Carlisle Utd's Brunton Park, a most unusual discovery was made in the goalmouth.

Groundsman Dave Mitchell found three valuable Koi carp swimming at the Waterworks End.

The club Tweeted out the bizarre find - which resulted in a happy end to the fishy tale. The next day they posted on their Twitter account: "More unbelievable news: Mark Chandler from Warwick Road spotted his fish on social media & has been to rescue them!"
