Announcement made ahead of January reveal
After a year filled with new ideas for nature conservation, environmental innovations and chemical legislation changes, STRI say they delighted to announce the finalists for the 2017 Golf Environment Awards.
 The Golf Environment Awards recognise golf clubs, and individuals, that strive to undertake environmental best practice in all areas, and honour those who go above and beyond. Set up 20 years ago, this year's Golf Environment Awards and finalists are: Environmental Golf Course of the Year - Greetham Valley Golf

Conservation Greenkeeper of the Year - Steve Thompson – John O’Gaunt Golf Club

- Neil Sherman – Ipswich Golf Club
- Phil Stain – Notts Golf Club
Outstanding Environmental Project of the Year - Mid-Herts Golf Club
- Frilford Heath Golf Club
- Irvine Golf Club
- Stoneham Golf Club
The winners will be announced at the Golf Environment Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 18th January 2017, during BTME in Harrogate.
