BIGGA have said they are saddened to learn of the recent passing of Derek Farrington, a former regional administrator of the association.

Derek died at home after a short illness.

He joined BIGGA in 1996 as part time regional administrator in the South East region. 

He had previously worked as manager of the Surrey County Staff Club, a facility made available for staff of Surrey County Council, Royal Borough of Kingston, Kingston University and Kingston College.

When he joined the association, Derek was a member at Coombe Wood Golf Club in Kingston.

His funeral took place last week (25 October) at Worthing Crematorium.
