DOUBLE LAUNCH BY BLEC
Two new machines at Saltex

BLEC GLOBAL used SALTEX at Windsor to launch two new machines - a unique Multi-Spray unit and a compact version of the Blecavator.

The Multi-Spray is designed to get liquid products into the soil, such as gypsum, with the use of an attached spiking unit. Other attachments can be used, including brushes.

Designed by managing dirrector Gary Mumby in association with Barry Pace, contracts manager of Speedcut Contractors, the unit can be used by small tractors and offers a new way of getting liquid products away from the surface and into the soil.

"The Multi-Spray has the advantage of being able to push liquid sprayed products below surface level, giving an immediate effect to the soil," says Gary.

"Compact Blecavators are ideal for working in confined areas where cultivation is needed prior to seeding," says Gary.

The Compact Blecavator will carry out one-pass ground preparation cultivating down to 18cm, pulverising clods, burying stones, screening the soil, raking the ground level, compacting the soil and rolling. Optional vibrating soil screeners are available as well as seed hoppers.

"SALTEX was a great show for us this year and a fitting end to its time at Windsor," said Gary, who has been exhibiting at the show since the early 1980s.

He said they sold eight machines off the stand, including Compact Blecavators, Multi-Spray units and Cultipack Seeders. Following the show they carried out demonstrations and sold several more machines.
