TORO FIRST FOR MILLWALL
Club invest in Reelmaster 3100-D triplex

Millwall Football Club has invested in its first Toro machine, with the south-east London club bringing in a Reelmaster 3100-D triplex riding mower for box cutting the pitches and fly cutting the outside areas at its football training ground in Bromley, Kent.

Groundsman Sam Pope on Millwall FC's Toro RM3100-D

Groundsman at the Championship outfit Sam Pope says the new mower is already saving him and his five-strong groundstaff team a lot of time and that he's impressed with the machine's performance.

"We chose Toro because it's a leading brand and gets good reviews, says Sam."The 3100 gives an even cut and leaves a good finish. We use it predominantly to box cut the pitches and fly cut the outside areas, which we mow every other day."

David points out that these are high visibility areas, so it was important to have a machine that could maintain them to a high standard to give a good impression. A cutting height of 24mm is used and it takes about an hour to cut each pitch, with four men, the Reelmaster and other mowers in the fleet being employed to cut the whole training facility.
