IOG LINKS UP WITH ISBA
The Independent Schools’ Bursars Association
The Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG) and the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA) are set to engage with each other to explore ways of providing information, education and training to its members.
As part of this partnership, the IOG presented a breakout session at the ISBA’s Estates Management Conference last Wednesday (14 January 2015) on the importance and awareness of estates management and how good quality groundsmanship is integral within independent schools.
Commenting on the partnership, ISBA professional development director, Paul Simpson said: “The ISBA recognises the excellent range of services on offer from the IOG to help our 1,000 member schools and looks forward to further developing a closer relationship, which will result in even more support for estates management staff.”
IOG CEO Geoff Webb said, "The IOG is delighted to be collaborating with the ISBA.
“The independent Schools sector is central to excellence in grounds management, the estates grounds and sports facilities are a rich vein of many outstanding venues, facilities and surfaces. The IOG and ISBA working closely together will assist communication and development of standards within this important sector.”
