The Old Course at St Andrews was crowned the world’s best golf course at the 2016 World Golf Awards for a third year in a row recently.

The Open Championship venue also retained its crowns as best course in Scotland and in Europe, completing a clean sweep.



Hundreds of thousands of ballots were cast ahead of the Gala Ceremony, which was this year hosted by the Conrad Algarve in Portugal.

"This award not only recognises the exceptional condition and playability of the Old Course, it also recognises every aspect of the memorable experiences we strive to deliver at the Home of Golf on a daily basis.
