WELCOME!
Message from Turf Pro publisher

Chris Biddle

I am delighted to welcome you to this first issue of Turf Pro Weekly Briefing – and yes, I know it says Published Every Monday – but when we planned the launch this week, our wallplanner didn’t mention a Bank Holiday!  However, from this week on, Monday will the day.

Our aim is provide you with a weekly round-up of turf industry news, views and comment together with some of the off-the-wall stories and videos from around the world.

Turf Pro has been around since 1998, as a sister title to our Service Dealer, the leading trade magazine for dealers and suppliers of turfcare, grasscare, farm and outdoor power equipment.

For the past three or four years, the title has been in the hands external publishers, but following our recent link up with communications agency, The Ad Plain, the two titles are back in the same stable - and with a new format.

This newsletter will provide you a weekly insight into the turfcare news agenda, whilst next week will see the launch issue of Turf Pro magazine in a digital format.

The way we receive information is changing. With coverage of 4G nearing completion across the UK and the use of smartphones and tablets set to overtake desktops, we now have the opportunity to bring Turf Pro to life for you with video, web and e-mails links and lots of interactive content.

Who would have thought it?

I've been around the turfcare industry of over 50 years, first as a dealer, then as a publishere/editor of turfcare magaznes. When I first started publishing 26 years ago, the internet was not in use, but today we can hardly function without it.

Yes, we will be on something of learning curve, but with some seasoned and experienced people on board, and with the talented production team at TAP, we are in for an exciting few weeks
ahead!
