AND FINALLY . . .
Tiny penalty area blunder at Aussie A-League game
Organisers at Geelong’s Simonds Stadium in Australia were forced to make last-minute changes to the pitch in a New Year's game in the country's A-League football championship.
The ground which is more used to staging Aussie Rules games was playing host to the Melbourne Victory verses Newcastle Jets, when fans arriving for the game began to notice something rather odd about the pitch markings.
With the teams about the come out to start their warm-ups, groundstaff were hastily dispatched to re-paint the penalty box which was clearly far too narrow - much to the derision of several fans who posted pictures and sarcastic comments on Twitter.
