SALTEX - NO PLANS FOR WINDSOR RETURN
IOG delighted with NEC move

Geoff Webb, IOG CEO
The IOG has confirmed there are no plans to return SALTEX to Windsor, with initial attendance figures showing a successful relocation.

Speaking on the second day of the show in Birmingham, IOG CEO Geoff Webb said, "This is the start of a new era for SALTEX. This move has a been a labour of love for us but we are delighted at how things have turned out.

"It was a massive decision for us to do this and we are committed to doing it again. I can confirm that there are no plans to return the show to Windsor.

"The success of SALTEX enables us as an Institute to be successful in all our other areas such as education, training and the promotion of the turf care industry.

"I am very pleased with the first day's attendance figures. I don't have the exact figures yet but we're looking at 4500 through the doors on Wednesday. We had over 10,000 pre-registrations before the show kicked off, which is around 1500 up on what we had before the last show at Windsor."

Next year's Saltex has been confirmed to take place at the NEC again on 2-3 November 2016.
