AND FINALLY . . . World record for log production in 24 hours
The Rabaud Xylo' Show was held in France on the 10th and 11th of July, displaying the full range of Rabaud Forestry Equipment and included a never before attempted world log-splitting record display.
The exhibition included machinery such as Logsplitters from 6t to 80t, Log-saws, Firewood Processors, Wood chippers, Post Peelers, Post Pointers, Shear grabs etc, all of which is imported to the UK by Appin-Woods Machinery Ltd based in Suffolk.
Charles Miller of Appin-Woods Machinery attended the 2 day event in Sainte Cecile, France and witnessed this impressive and historic event.
The massive benchmark of 384 cubic metres was set. The Rabaud 550 Mobile Commercial Firewood Processor was used and the vast majority of the timber was hardwood, a lot of knotty elm too!
From 11a.m. on the 10th July to 11a.m on the 11th a massive 384m3 of firewood was produced, which equates to nearly 14 large skips full! The 550 processor was tackling effortlessly trees up to 550mm to produce firewood cleaned with the sifter of chips and debris ready for sale.
This is presently the largest processor in the Rabaud range although a larger one is being talked about to replace the Industrial Xylog700.
