A robot outfitted with chainsaws can climb trees and its branches on its own according to the below video.
The pruning robot weighs about 29 lbs, and it can climb trees with trunks that span between 2.3 inches to 9.8 inches. The machine could help prevent accidents, but it is still undergoing testing in an "experimental forest,"according to the IEEE Spectrum.
