OPEN FARM SUNDAY 2015
Supported again by John Deere

John Deere has announced its support once again as machinery sponsor for this year's 10th Open Farm Sunday, which takes place on June 7th, 2015.

The organisers LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) are targeting a total of 500 host farms and 250,000 visitors on the day.

In addition, a series of Open Farm School Days throughout June will see over 100 farms hosting 5000 children on specially arranged school visits.

Organisers say Open Farm Sunday has become the single most effective and well supported day in the farming calendar, and is very much the farming industry's annual open day - a celebration of all that is best about British farming and food, and a great opportunity to get the public out onto farms to discover where their food comes from, meet the farmers who produce it and find out how farmers care for the environment.

LEAF provides lots of information, free resources and support to help host farmers put on a safe, engaging and enjoyable event. John Deere contributes to this effort by producing 30,000 information leaflets for visitors to take home, with content for both adults and children, highlighting John Deere technology and featuring some useful industry facts.

In addition, many dealers and John Deere staff support individual events with the loan of machinery for tractor rides or static display, or by helping host farmers and talking to visitors about John Deere's advanced technology and its role in helping farmers to produce quality food for home and abroad.
