Story
In October I am going to travel across the globe to the small Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan. We will be covering over 60km of soaring peaks and forested valleys of the eastern Himalayas. The challenge will be the steep mountainous terrain, unpredictable weather and high altitude - wish me luck!
The first time I saw about this challenge was a poster in the Leckhampton Sue Ryder Hospice. This is where Penny spent her last few weeks and the impact the hospice had on me and my family was incredibly touching. Through this difficult time, we were all extremely grateful for the support and care Penny received.
To run the hospice for 1 day costs the charity £8,000, this is why it's so important the charity continues to raise those vital funds. I now feel it's my turn to raise some money to say thank you and to give something back to other families that have to go through a similar experience.
