The Landscape Group
is one of the leading providers of "green services" to local authorities and other public bodies in the UK. It has over a thousand employees nationally and is growing fast. Services provided include grounds maintenance in parks and open spaces, cleansing, and landscape construction.

Job Title: Mobile fitter

Location: To cover the areas of Winchester/Newbury/Petersfield

Based at: Winchester

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 dependent upon experience

The opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Fitter to join The Landscape Group. Reporting directly to Branch ManagerResponsibilities will include:

  • Keeping machinery operational, through good working practices and training of operational staff
  • Undertake running repairs and organise mobile response repairs as required in order to keep priority machines working
  • Organise and manage any sub-contractors/third-parties required to assist with machinery repairs.
  • To keep accurate records and implement machinery history files for all major pieces of equipment
  • Program a routine maintenance program for machines and to follow accordingly
  • To purchase parts at within the budgeted guide lines.
  • Follow manufacturers guidelines when carrying our repairs 
  • Monitor and report to the Contract Manager regarding any abuse of machinery. 
  • Maintain of service records of machinery and MOTs of company vehicles 
  • Ability to work autonomously

The ideal candidate will have the necessary skills and experience with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
