DEALER APPRENTICES GRADUATE
From AGCO's scheme

AGCO celebrated recently with the latest group of technicians to graduate from the Dealer Apprentice Scheme at a special awards event held at Warwickshire College.

AGCO Graduating Class 2014

2014 sees the fifteenth crop of students to graduate from a scheme that has seen over two hundred future technicians develop their skills and go on to successful careers in Agricultural Engineering.

"Apprentice schemes such as this one, supported by AGCO and its dealers are vital to the future of our industry," commented Alastair Taylor, chief executive of the Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE) who spoke at the event. " Machinery used in agriculture is becoming ever more sophisticated, and technicians have a vital role to play both in repair and preventative maintenance, to ensure a farmer's investment performs at a consistently high level."

Presenting the awards on behalf of AGCO, Mark Casement, Director Sales and Country Manager for the UK and Ireland said, "AGCO is delighted to recognise each one of these hard working technicians who, with the support of their sponsoring dealer, should be rightly proud of their achievements and commitment to excellence. AGCO, our dealers, and our customers can be confident that the future support of our products is assured thanks to the skills of these highly capable technicians, who will now be embarking on the next stages of their careers."

In addition, three further awards were made to recognise students in the following categories :

Most Improved Student :
Awarded to Clarke Minot, sponsoring dealer RW Crawford Ltd.
