TOP GEAR TO GARDEN SHED
James May to tackle the reassemble of a Suffolk Colt on TV

Brian Radam with James May
A new TV series will feature James May methodically reassembling everyday items in his garden shed. The series, The Reassembler which starts next Monday (4 April) on BBC 4 features the Top Gear presenter reassembling the 331 components of a 1959 Suffolk Colt back into a finished working machine.

As this is a petrol lawnmower, James's first task is to put the engine back together before he gets to grips with the gearing, the clutch and the blades themselves. Armed only with his toolbox and an endless supply of tea, James experiences the highs and lows only possible when attempting to put history back together again, piece by piece.

The Suffolk Colt was supplied by the British Lawnmower Museum in Southport - and has been since returned in its reassembled state and gone back on display at the museum

In the rest of the series, James May tackles the reassemby of a telephone and a guitar.

The Reassembler series starts with the Suffolk Colt on Monday 4 April at 9.00pm on BBC4.  WATCH THE TRAILER
