What does it involve?
Having a qualified technician from RVT carry out a Thorough Examination of Lift Trucks, Excavators or mobile work equipment would cover the following areas:

• Establish that the equipment continues to be operated with safety and without injury to persons and that it is being operated to the manufacturers recommendations
• Verify that the equipment is operating as it is intended to when lifting and travelling
• Identify defects or weaknesses which could compromise the safe use of the equipment
• Specify the time scales within which identifies defects or weaknesses need to be rectified
• Establish that defects identified in the previous report of Thorough Examination have received attention
• Assess the correct function of all safety devices
• Check that warning notices are correctly fixed and legible
• Where necessary specify any limitations on the use of the truck/mobile work equipment
