MIKE HARLEY
Joint founder of Opico
Mike Harley, formerly of Opico, died on 15 March.
In 1966, he was a founding partner along with Jeremy Coleclough of Opico (short for Openheimer, Intercontinental Corporation) set up to import US machinery lines such as Hesston.
He later sold his share to form a new company called Stamford International supplying dealers with a range of workshop equipment.
Mike leaves a wife Liza, three children and six grandchildren. His funeral took place in Stamford on Thursday 26 March.
