KRAMP GROUP POST GOOD RESULTS
For the first half of 2014
KrampGroup's two European technical wholesale businesses for agricultural and agriculture-related sectors, Kramp (Varsseveld, NL) and Grene (Skjern, DK), saw good results in the first half of 2014.
At EUR 350 million, sales were 8.3% higher than the same period of the previous year.
One of the bigger investments in 2014 is renovating and adding new office space to the head office of Kramp Groupin Varsseveld. There will be an additional 1,500 m² of office facilities.
Performance during the first quarter-which saw sales rise by 14%-was better than the second quarter, in line with the overall trends in the rest of the market. Repair workshops across Europe ordered parts to carry out repairs earlier in the year as a result of the relatively warm weather. In 2013, a relatively cold first quarter meant that parts were only ordered at a later point in the year. The Directors of the Group report that the integration of the two companies, which merged in November 2013, is progressing well. As part of the integration process, wholesale operations in Poland recently moved over to the Kramp name. All retail operations (over 100 shops) will remain under the Grene flag. Kramp Group CEO Eddie Perdok is pleased with developments: "Each and every country is putting in an exceptional performance. Poland is doing really well and Scandinavia is stable. Our offices in Finland, France, Spain, Italy and Hungary are growing rapidly. And we're continuing our efforts to achieve the synergies we envisaged as part of the merger within our target timeframe of three years".
