BLADES DINNER AT SALTEX Hans Peter Stihl to be guest of honour and speaker.
A new dinner and social event for the grass, grounds care and agricultural machinery industry is being held on the first night of SALTEX 2013. The inaugural Blades Industry Dinner is being staged on Tuesday 3 September at the Macdonald Savill Court Hotel, Windsor Great Park, starting with a drinks reception at 7.00pm, followed by dinner at 8.00pm.
For the past five years, Savill Court has been the venue for the Dealer of the Year Awards held on the first night of SALTEX, but these have been replaced for 2013 by the Heritage Awards to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Service Dealer magazine. The Heritage Awards will be announced and presented at a reception in the Grandstand at Royal Windsor Racecourse on 3 September starting at 4.30pm, finishing at 6.00pm.
The Blades Industry Dinner, which is this year being supported by STIHL and run in association with the AEA, is open for anyone from the industry who might wish to entertain staff or customers, or simply network with colleagues. The evening promises a convivial and relaxed atmosphere, splendid dining and a venue set in beautiful grounds.
We are also delighted to announce that the guest of honour and speaker at the Dinner will be Hans Peter Stihl. Now retired from his official position as Group Chairman of the business founded by his father, Mr Stihl remains constantly active at Board level and travels extensively worldwide as an ambassador for the STIHL Group. He will spend some time at Saltex during a visit to STIHL GB this autumn. His speech at The Blades Industry Dinner promises some fascinating insights into the now global family business and the outdoor power tool market worldwide.
Tickets for the dinner are priced at £60 per head, or £500 for a table of 10. The ticket price includes a reception drink on arrival, 3-course dinner plus a half bottle of house wine per person and coffee. VAT extra.
