TGA CONFERENCE SPEAKERS SET
Announcement for December 2nd event

On Tuesday 2nd December 2014 the Turfgrass Growers Association conference will be held at PGRO Thornhaugh, near Peterborough.

The keynote speaker will be NFU Vice President Guy Smith, who will be speaking to the TGA members, and guests, about the role of the NFU in UK Farming and his work after his recent appointment.

There will be a European flavour brought to the event with a presentation from Johnny Trandem from Norway who will update the conference on the recently formed European Turfgrass Producers group.

Paul Hammett from the NFU who will update the conference on the Water Abstraction Licencing review which is currently being undertaken by DEFRA and the Environment Agency.

Jonathan Tame from BALI will speak about the technical issues facing his members when dealing with turf in the landscape.

The event will be rounded off by Stephen Edwards from Inturf who will be giving a presentation on Health & Safety issues.

“We are so pleased that, once again, we have been able to attract such a high calibre of speaker at our annual event,” said TGA Chief Executive, Tim Mudge. “It is testament to the growing importance of our sector, and how much we have raised our profile over the past ten years, that we consistently deliver such a wide range of relevant topics delivered by experts within their fields.”

There will be an update to members from the TGA on recent activities at the conference. The conference dinner will be held the night before at the Haycock Hotel at Wansford. Members can get details from the TGA office.
