MARK BARTRAM COMPLETES RUN
Norwich to London for charity

Mark and Matt Bartram and friend Jackson
Mark Bartram of Bartram Mowers, along with his brother Matt and their friend completed their charity run from Norwich to London last weekend.

Mark explains:

"We left Norwich at 10.00am on Sunday morning with four runners. Despite the very warm conditions we made fairly steady progress and by about 7.00pm were just south of Bury St Edmunds at which point one of the runners dropped out.  This left myself, brother Matt and our friend Jackson.

"We then had a fairly good period during the night running through South Suffolk into North Essex and we reached Great Dunmow at about 5.00am. At this point it started to warm up and the next few hours became very painful and the pace got very slow, However, despite seized knee joints, terrible blisters and various other failing body parts the three of us managed to reach the Tower of London at 2.30pm on Monday in one piece.

"The fantastic sponsorship support we had from so many friends was a major factor in keeping us going to the end and I have now raised over £5k for Cardiac Risk in the Young and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

"If anyone else would like to support these charities the link is http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/MarkBartram
