YOUNG EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

BAGMA is seeking out budding young retail employees under the age of 35 who are making a real difference in businesses across the UK, for their UK Young Employee of the Year Awards 2013.

Director of BAGMA Keith Christian said, "We’re looking for those employees with spirit, ideas and determination – the industry leaders of the future."

The top prize will be an investment in the overall winners’ retail development worth over £2,000.

The panel of judges will comprise of divisional chairmen and prominent industry experts. Judging will take place towards the end of March and the judge’s decision will be final. Finalists will be notified in April 2013.

As part of the competition, entrants must answer the following five questions:

  • Business Achievements – How have you contributed to the success of the business, demonstrating commercial awareness and business acumen; this may be departmental or across the entire business
  • Future Vision – What are your plans and/or ideas for the future?
  • Professional Development – What formal or informal, personal or professional learning has helped you in your role?
  • Other Activities – Please give details of other areas in which you have distinguished yourself in your life (inside or outside of work)
  • A 100 word statement entitled: “Why I Should Win This Award”.

The awards will be presented at the bira High Street Conference and Gala Awards ceremony on Thursday 16 May 2013 at the Four Pillars Hotel, Cotswold Water Park, Cirencester.
