GARDENING TO HIT FESTIVALS Music and food events to be targeted
The cross sector Garden Industry Marketing Board is to travel to food and music festivals next spring and summer in a bid to attract under 45s to gardening, reported Horticulture Week.
The journal said that the marketing board plans to attend at least six events with portable gardens on a truck to be unloaded and demonstrated to visitors.
Organiser David Arnold said GIMB wanted to target people who don't go to garden shows and enthuse them into how they can use their gardens to enhance their lifestyles.
No details of which festivals were to be targeted were given.
