EGO UNVEILS PRODUCTS & PLANS
At distributor conference in Holland

To announce its 2017 product range and plans for the next year, on 7th and 8th September EGO Power+ held its distributor conference and invited guests from across Europe to attend the event in Apeldoorn, Holland.

The attendees at the EGO conference

Peter Melrose, president of EGO Europe, led proceedings which reiterated EGO’s commitment to the independent dealer network, as well as discussing the benefits of cordless and the opportunities it creates for dealers. At the conference, the EGO team also revealed insight into market predictions for cordless machinery and how the brand’s plans align with those forecasts.

The main purpose of the conference was to introduce EGO’s 2017 product line to the 12 distribution companies in attendance. These companies were Henton & Chattell (UK); Tucks O’Brien (Ireland); Proviter OY (Finland); Flex (Scandinavia and Polska); Stierman De Leeuw (Benelux); Hochfilzer (Austria); Brumar (Italy); Iseki (France); Miralbueno (Spain); TAM (Switzerland) and Gitana (Lithuania).

Throughout the conference guests were introduced to the new product line up by Vince Brauns, EGO’s product manager. On the second day, when they were joined by EGO’s worldwide chairman, Peter Pan, guests were able to try the products for themselves.

New product highlights include developments in the product range that make it more suitable for professional and municipal applications such as a backpack battery and blower; a new multi-tool; more accessories; and the introduction of more product kits that include batteries and chargers alongside the bare tools. The full UK public unveiling of the new products will be at SALTEX in Birmingham on 2nd and 3rd November.

Distributors were also treated an evening’s entertainment at Apeldoorn’s Het Loo Palace where they met with the head gardener and had a tour of the palace before dinner.
