KRONE STARTS OWN RETAIL OPERATION
Called Krone Forage Solutions

Krone

Krone UK has set up its own retail sales and service operation called Krone Forage Solutions, they say, to help improve sales and service to farmers and contractors in the West Midlands.

Krone manufactures forage and grassland equipment, including forage harvesters, mowers, tedders forage wagons and balers. The full range of equipment will be demonstrated throughout the Midlands during 2013 at a series of farmer based meetings.

The company says a key objective of Krone Forage Solutions is to support existing dealers in Shropshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire in maximising coverage and market penetration as well as providing the highest quality service support.

Krone Forage Solutions manager Clive Roberts has considerable experience working within the agricultural machinery industry, the majority being with RVT in both service and sales positions. Latterly with employment at Lemken and West Mid Tractors, he gained further sales and servicing experience in addition to marketing.

He will be assisted by two experienced independent service agents with their own existing businesses and who have six mechanics on the road between them covering the central belt of the West Midlands.

"Krone Forage Solutions will not be based out of a specific location in the first instance because the team's focus will be more on servicing of new and existing customers," he says. "Both service engineers - Peter Mellor and Ivor Davies - already have long established businesses with premises, so equipment that cannot be repaired, serviced or maintained on farm will be brought back to either location."

Mr Roberts explains that there is no price advantage for customers contacting Krone Forage Solutions directly. Leads received from outside the Midlands will be passed on to their respective local dealer.
