Chervon are looking for a Field Marketing Executive to join their team based in High Wycombe.
Job Description: The Field Marketing Executive will cover the south of the UK, however current UK head quarters are based at High Wycombe. The successful applicant will work closely with the Director of Marketing, and support the wider sales team. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with the field based sales team of EGO’s appointed UK distributer to positively influence potential machinery dealers and garden centres to actively stock the EGO product range
- Presenting the EGO product in a knowledgeable & compelling manner and being able to overcome objections as necessary
- Developing a thorough understanding of potential competitor products in order to more effectively present the benefits of the EGO product
- Providing useful market intelligence/feedback gained whilst out in the field
- Effectively present the EGO brand and product range to both company buyers (dealers) and potential end-users depending on the event being attended
- Present EGO at dealer premises, garden centres, dealer trade shows (UK, Ireland and mainland Europe), county shows and other events deemed relevant by the company
To facilitate these responsibilities the position will have use of a branded company van, assorted display materials, certain elements of EGO branded clothing and EGO products. Together with the Director of Marketing the Field Marketing Executive will maintain a detailed diary/agenda with key long term dates fixed well in advance. Vacations will only be allowed where these key dates are not adversely affected. During the main selling season (to be defined) the Field Marketing Executive will be expected to work weekends and be allowed to take 2 weekdays off in-lieu. These 2 days should be taken flexibly to ensure that key events are well organised as well as being attended. The Successful Applicant: Our client is looking to meet with candidates who have are self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on presenting a high quality image of the brand. A natural forward planner who is able to work alone for periods but who can also work well in small team environments. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with business owners as well as the general public. Ideal candidates should have a natural affinity with powered products and be able to grasp reasonably complex technology behind battery powered tools.
