LAWN WAY ROUND
Taken by Briggs & Stratton

Briggs & Stratton has announced its involvement in a charity lawnmower event taking place in July.

Members of the Lawn Way Round team

The Lawn Way Round will see three representatives from the North West Lawnmower Racing Association (the NWLRA) embarking upon a journey of over 2,000 miles around the coasts of England, Wales and Scotland on ride-on lawnmowers to raise money for Crohns and Colitis UK.

As part of its involvement in the Lawn Way Round challenge, Briggs & Stratton has donated three of its 14hp Vanguard engines for the lawnmowers as well as providing race suits for the drivers to wear.

This isn’t the first time that the petrol engine manufacturer has been involved with lawnmower challenges this year. In April the company launched its 4 Men Went To Mow lawnmower race project, that reunited the iconic 1991 World Championship gold medal winning 4x400metre relay team and Fifth Gear presenter Tiff Needell, to launch its InStart starting system.

Sales and marketing manager for Briggs & Stratton UK, Ian Small, commented: “This is a great idea! When we heard about it we thought it tied in brilliantly with our recent 4 Men Went To Mow project so were keen to be involved. It’s for a great cause so we’re delighted to be involved. We wish the Lawn Way Round team all the best for their journey!”

The Lawn Way Round challenge will begin on 11th July in Tenbury Wells – from there the team will travel approximately 300 miles each day for a week.
