Same Deutz-Fahr (SDF)has appointed Bruce Hopkins Ltd, the long established midlands machinery dealer with branches at Shenington Airfield on the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire border and at Hinckley in Leicestershire as its new Deutz-Fahr dealer.
Formerly a John Deere dealer whose area was curtailed upon the appointment of Farol Ltd, Bruce Hopkins has more recently held AGCO franchises with the MF. Fendt and Challenger brands. He says "AGCO appear to be changing their distribution map, so taking on SDF is an ideal opportunity for us"
Bruce Hopkins Ltd started trading in 1969 at Shenington Airfield and established a second branch at Hinckley in 2001. Both branches will be marketing the Deutz-Fahr tractor brand.
The area covered by the Shenington branch includes Brackley, Warwick, and Stow-on-the-Wold, while the Hinckley branch will cover the Staffordshire, Burton on Trent and Sutton Coldfield area. The company's third branch at Long Buckby is to be a parts operation
Bruce Hopkins who says he is looking forward to marketing not only the Deutz-Fahr tractor range – a range which offers tractors from 60hp right through to 275hp – but also the line-up of Deutz-Fahr 60 Series combine harvesters and Agrovector telehandlers.
“It’s good to have the backing and support of a major tractor manufacturer which has both the quality of product and the caring for its customers’ needs.”
Mr Hopkins says that the feed-back he has received has been positive and there is a growing demand for on farm demonstrations – something he plans to work on in the ensuing months.
