Kubota has teamed up with the 20 air ambulance charities across the UK to launch ‘Working Safely, Saving Lives’ – a national campaign that aims to raise £250,000 for these life saving charities whilst also promoting the importance of health and safety in the workplace.

The UK agricultural and construction sectors are two of the most dangerous and hazardous industries in terms of fatal accidents and serious injuries. For agricultural or construction workers for instance, who could have a life threatening accident, the critical service the Air Ambulance provides can be their only hope of survival.
The ‘Working Safely, Saving Lives’ campaign is specifically designed to raise crucial funds for the 20 UK air ambulances. It costs approximately £2,500 every time an air ambulance takes to the air, with its life saving rescue missions funded by the public’s generous donations.
Dave Roberts, Kubota UK’s Managing Director, said: “All the air ambulance charities provide an essential service in all walks of life, but we have specifically chosen this worthy causes because a high proportion of air ambulance rescue missions carried out across the UK every year are related to agriculture and construction incidents, making it extremely close to our hearts.
“The ‘Working Safely Saving Lives’ initiative is designed to raise as much money as we can for these fantastic charities. With the support of our dealer and end-user customers, industry bodies and the general public, we hope to reach our target of raising £250,000 over the next 12 months. This would fund 100 Air Ambulance rescue missions, ultimately helping to safe lives.”
“We are extremely proud to be launching this campaign and hope people get behind it and help us make a real difference!”
The Association of Air Ambulances (Charity) Ltd works closely with all the 20 independent local air ambulances across the UK who own or have contractual responsibility for the Helicopter Emergency Medical Services. It provides a national charity administration so charities can receive the donations from organisations like Kubota.
Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midland’s Air Ambulance Charity, speaking on behalf of the 20 air ambulance charities: “The partnership between all the UK air ambulance charities and Kubota demonstrates the joint commitment to saving lives. So on behalf of all the charities, our patients and their families and friends, we are extremely grateful to Kubota.”
