SHOW US THE WAY . . .
The debate goes on, and on

Chris Biddle
As we career towards the end of another year, a milestone looms, 2013 marks the 25th Anniversary of starting a magazine (‘rag’) about lawnmowers.

So much has changed, but then so much hasn’t.. .

Stuck for a subject? Then there has always been conjecture about shows to fall back on.

As you will read in this issue, the issue hasn’t gone away. We are a small industry yet somehow we still cling to the notion of having two national turfcare shows a year. No matter that some of the major players have made it clear that they are not happy with this - and have voted with their feet.

Having just incorporated a play equipment show into its fold from next year, there is no truth in the rumour that the Mother and Baby Show is also eying up a move to Windsor in September despite the impending Royal birth.

In the end, it’s what the customers want - and in these days of ever-tightening belts and time pressures, the suggestion being mooted of co-ordinated regional events with a practical hands-on approach may be the way forward.

In that respect, we’d like YOUR views. Do fill out this week's survey to let us know what you think.
