CHANGES AT CENTRAL SPARES
Relocation of warehousing and offices

Central Spares
Central Spares have announced that they are making some changes to their business.

Colin Gale, Marketing & Product Manager, told Service Dealer, "We have decided to relocate our stock and warehouse operations to a new site which will allow us to accommodate our expanding product range, assist with automated and modern picking methods and allow for an extended next day order time frame by at least three hours.

"In addition, we will be moving our offices to a local, modern complex in Ferndown, Dorset that will facilitate an increase in sales focus for our customers and to develop additional electronic parts identification and technical support in both existing and new product ranges. The new offices are just two miles from our existing site, so our existing Sales and Technical Advisors will relocate to this new site.

"We will also be replacing our existing 12 year old software, with more efficient and encompassing programmes that are required today by the modern office. This important investment will provide our sales advisor with a wider range of opportunities to support dealer requests for sales and technical information and the re-ordering of essential, regular parts."

Colin continued, "These are key changes, which will take place in November. Like any major upheaval of this nature our normal shipments will unfortunatley be affected - but this is being coordinated by a team of logistics and IT specialists in order to reduce the impact to a minimum.

"Whilst nobody really likes change, these investments and improvements will take us forward for the foreseeable future and allow us to meet the challenges that the Outdoor Power Equipment industry will present."
