SUDDEN DEATH OF FGM CLAYMORE'S NIGEL FINCH Collapsed suddenly last weeked
Nigel Finch, sales manager for FGM Claymore, collapsed and died suddenly last Sunday 30 June
Nigel (pictured at a party just last Saturday and used at the request of his wife Anne and family) ) was 53, had spent some years at E T Breakwell Ltd, before leaving the trade for a spell, subsequently joining FGM Claymore.
He was driving near his home in the West Midlands, accompanied by his 12-year old daughter, when he felt unwell and pulled over to the side of the road. He then apparently suffered a fatal heart attack and despite attention from a number of friends who rushed to his aid, he failed to recover.
Paul Butterly, md of FGM Claymore said, "Nigel joined us as sales manager in July 2010 after being out of the trade for a few years and he has been a integral part of our business since then. On joining us his comments were 'It’s just fantastic to be back in the trade and to renew old friendships'.
"That was Nigel he just loved our industry! Nigel's best asset was his ability to connect with people and where ever he went visiting dealers, I am sure he always left a smile on their faces.
"No task was too big for Nigel and he always welcomed a challenge as an opportunity. He was the first to offer support in a crisis and always had a calming influence on his team.
"We at FGM Claymore are all devastated by his sudden death and he will be dearly missed by us and all his colleagues in the trade which is evident by the volume of condolences that we have received from his customers and all his international friends and suppliers. Our heartfelt thoughts are with his wife Anne and daughters Megan and Olivia at this time."
Nigel's funeral will be a church service at St Mary's , Church Lane, Lapworth at 11am Tuesday 16th July followed by drinks at the Navigation Pub, Lapworth. Cremation at Robin Hood Crematorium at 12.30 for close family and friends
